As an expectant first time mother, I not only felt overjoyed to carry a baby, but also I wanted to be prepared to take care of our daughter once she arrived. Ali has been such an amazing resource to me and I honestly don’t know how I would have made it to my 36th week without her. From that first day when she made sense of all that breastfeeding equipment on the shelves at Babies R Us, to her latest email response answering my questions about Bumbo and exersaucer safety, Ali has been available, knowledgeable, and just such fun to work with. I can email her the silliest of questions at any time of day and she always promptly responds and sets me at ease. Whether its looking over my birth preference sheet, informing me about the Gifts to Grow points system through Pampers, or sending me a packing list for the hospital, Ali is an expert on all things baby!
One job I have to mention in particular was the day Ali came over to organize my nursery. It was literally a mess, covered wall to wall with gift bags and shipping boxes after three baby showers. Every time I would walk into the nursery to start cleaning it up, I would become immediately paralyzed and walk right out. Within two hours, Ali had emptied every bag and box and organized it into piles of what I was keeping and what I was returning. She then took all my clothes and had them folded by size in the dresser within the next hour. By the time she left, it actually looked like a nursery! If that wasn’t enough, she then went to my online registries and sent me a list of the “must-have” items that I still needed to get before my baby arrived. With all of our returns and gift cards, my husband and I were able to get these items without spending a cent. We would have wasted so much money on extra stuff we didn’t need if Ali hadn’t done this for me.
I know that after my little girl arrives, I will be able to continue leaning on Ali as a supportive resource who makes me feel like I actually know what I’m doing! When you see her with her own two amazing children, it’s no wonder she’s so good at what she does.
